Where is it from?
This Ethiopian coffee is considered to be one of the worlds best. It is grown in the Yirgacheffe region of southern Ethiopia at elevations of between 1850 and 2100 metres above sea level. The process of this coffee is fully washed and that is the reason that the coffee is considered one of the best. During the washing process only the ripe coffee cherries sink to the bottom so the unripe ones that float to the top can be removed ensuring the highest of quality.
Flavour
The flavours produced by this coffee are smooth with light floral and berry notes at the outset, with a deep treacle and chocolaty body. This coffee is a medium roast and therefore produces a subtle but rich acidity. Blood orange and grapefruit are also evident in the profile.
