Our Price Rises
In August 2021, coffee prices recorded the tenth consecutive month of increase which has presented a significant challenge for independent coffee roasters around the world in terms of margins and prices.
Despite the rising price of coffee, we have not passed on a price increase for 3 years. Although we are now at a point where some price increases are unavoidable, we are confident that we can continue to sustain fair and reasonable prices and pass on minimal increases to our customers. We remain one of the most competitive roasters in terms of price, quality and coffee experience with no compromises in the service we provide and the way we source, roast and package our beans.
Why have coffee prices increased?
Extreme weather has damaged crops significantly creating a world shortage. On top of this, the global pandemic has created problems, particularly shipping backlogs, rising shipping costs and covid 19 lockdown restrictions, which have affected supply and demand.
The cost of beans in Colombia has increased by a further 44% this year due to political protests that delayed exports. Price rises in fuel have also increased the costs of our postage with Royal Mail and FedEx.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.
